Namesake
If you wonder what the name is supposed to mean:
My family name is Stahl, which means Steel in german, and hart of course means hard. It can be freely translated as ~{!0~}as hard as steel~{!1~}, which is a name I use for all my productions. Plus it creates a nice contrast, being used for a papercraft website.

Motivation
I design papercraft models, because I like to. It~{!/~}s as simple as that. There is no target consumer, no business goal and no scope. These models are all here, because I like to do them. And since I already did them, why not share them with others, who share my hobby.

Work method

This whole project is a hobby, which I can work on only in my free time, so progress can be rather slow sometimes if I am too busy.

I enjoy putting together the models by hand. The prototype model is always put together from white cardstock and modeled from a threeside view. I then use a computer to built exact lines in Freehand. I don~{!/~}t use any CAD or 3D software. That lets the models be a little less accurate, but puts bigger emphasis on the paper modeling.

Except for some small Insignia, my models are completely vector-based, which means they can be scaled to any size, without becoming pixelated. The basic scale is 1:60 which is matching the WSAM (World~{!/~}s smallest aircraft museum) standard of Fiddler's Green.

You can find out more about the way I work in the "about designing the model"-section of each model's page.

Prices
Stahlhart papercraft are for free. You don~{!/~}t have to register or identify yourself or anything. Download any you like, as often as you like, and tell your friends about them. If you like them, I would be happy if you tell me about it.
